Local Trucking Terms & Conditions – UAE

These Terms & Conditions apply to all local truck bookings within the UAE.

1. Rates

All rates are quoted in AED and are inclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.

2. Scope of Rate

The quoted rate is on a Free on Truck (FOT) basis and covers truck transportation only.

Unless specifically mentioned in the quotation, the rate does not include:

  • cargo insurance

  • customs duty

  • loading or unloading charges

  • toll charges

  • gate pass fees

  • any other special or extra charges

 

3. Free Loading and Unloading Time

The quoted rate includes:

  • 1 hour free for loading at pickup location

  • 1 hour free for unloading at delivery location

 

4. Waiting Charges

If loading or unloading takes longer than the free time allowed, waiting charges will apply at AED 35 per hour, or part thereof.

 

5. Loading Responsibility

Loading of cargo is the Shipper’s responsibility.

 

6. Unloading Responsibility

Unloading of cargo is the Consignee’s responsibility.

 

7. Cargo Details

The Shipper must provide correct and complete cargo details at the time of booking, including:

  • cargo type

  • weight

  • dimensions

  • quantity

  • pickup location

  • delivery location

Any extra cost caused by incorrect or incomplete information will be charged to the Booking Party.

 

8. Cargo Suitability

The Shipper confirms that the cargo is safe, properly packed, and suitable for transportation by road.

 

9. Weight and Size Limits

Cargo must be loaded within:

  • the details stated in the booking request

  • the truck’s legal loading capacity

  • the permitted weight and dimensions under UAE law

Overloading or unsafe loading is not allowed.

 

10. Permits and Gate Passes

The Shipper is responsible for arranging all required entry permits, gate passes, and access permissions at both pickup and delivery locations.

 

11. Tolls and Gate Pass Fees

Any toll charges and gate pass fees, if applicable, must be paid by the customer directly to the driver in cash, against receipt where available.

 

12. Hazardous Cargo

Any hazardous, restricted, or special cargo must be declared before loading.

Such cargo will only be transported if accepted in advance by the carrier.

 

13. Direct Delivery

Once the truck is loaded, it will proceed directly to the delivery location, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

14. Off-Road or Restricted Access Deliveries

Quoted rates apply only for delivery within normal road access limits.

If the delivery location is off-road, unpaved, under construction, or difficult to access, additional charges may apply.

 

15. UAE Road Restrictions

All UAE truck movement rules, road bans, and traffic regulations will be followed at all times.

 

16. Proof of Delivery

If proof of delivery is required, the Shipper must provide a Delivery Note or similar document to be signed and stamped by the Consignee at the time of delivery.

 

17. Cargo Insurance

Cargo insurance is the Shipper’s responsibility, unless specifically arranged and confirmed in writing by the carrier.

 

18. Dead Freight / Empty Return

If the truck is sent to the pickup location as per the booking but is not used and must return empty, dead freight charges will apply as follows:

  • AED 75 for Pickup Trucks

  • AED 200 for Trailers

 

19. Cash and Valuables

Drivers will not carry or collect cash, jewellery, gold, diamonds, or other valuables.

The carrier will not be responsible for any loss or claim arising from the transportation of such items.

 

20. Delays Beyond Control

The carrier will not be liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • traffic

  • road closures

  • UAE truck bans

  • weather conditions

  • permit delays

  • police or authority checks

  • access restrictions at site

 

21. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from the booking or transportation service shall first be settled amicably between the parties.

If no settlement is reached, the matter shall be subject to the laws and jurisdiction of the UAE.

 

Refund Policy

1. Service Not Provided

If the booked service is not provided within 24 to 48 hours, a full refund will be arranged, subject to review of the booking details.

 

2. Refund Method

Refunds will be made through the original payment method or through another method at the company’s discretion.
